At In Bloom, Scott McCool cultivated a unique blend of contemporary and traditional floral design. Since opening our doors in October 1990, his vision has always been to elevate the standard of fresh flowers in Houston. By sourcing the finest blooms from Holland, Central America, Hawaii, and trusted domestic growers, we’ve consistently delivered top-quality flowers paired with unbridled creativity.

In 2000, we expanded into a spacious 5,000-square-foot shop and warehouse on Fairview in Montrose. This location has provided the perfect backdrop for seasonal installations, charity benefits, weddings, and daily floral orders. With over 300 square feet of cooler space and a curated collection of unique containers, we’re equipped to meet even the most ambitious design requests.

Today, Scott’s son Thomas carries the torch—continuing the legacy of excellence while shaping In Bloom for a new generation. With years of hands-on experience and a fresh perspective, Thomas brings renewed energy to the shop. He honors the foundation his father laid while evolving the brand through innovation and intentional design.

Under Thomas’s leadership, In Bloom continues to push creative boundaries, blending timeless techniques with modern artistry. He has expanded our event offerings, built relationships with international growers, and deepened our commitment to sustainability and seasonality.
